Stay

Quinta do Ferro offers a few guest houses, in addition to camping:

Lagar Velho

The Lagar was the olive press at the Quinta. The building was converted to a modern, spacious guest house with kitchen, one bathroom and two bedrooms. It has very high ceilings and a loft feel: the bedrooms are separated by a wall but have no ceilings so sound carries between them. Sleeps up to 5.

Casa do Forno

In the old days, Casa do Forno was the bakery for the Quinta: it has a big stone bread oven inside. It has since been converted to a cozy apartment with kitchen, 3 small bedrooms, and one bathroom. Can sleep up to 4 guests.

Bedroom in Manor House

Don’t let the ghost stories worry you: the manor house is a lovely place to stay! In typical manor house fashion, the bedrooms are furnished with antiques and twin or double beds. Private bathroom adjoins the room.

FarmHand’s Quarters

This place is no frills, but it does include a real bed with linens and towels, and a private bathroom.

Note about all guest houses for Practice Portuguese weekend:

Guesthouses include linens and towels.

Check in any time after 12pm on Friday; check out by 4pm on Sunday.

Staying additional nights before the language weekend is possible if we have availability — just ask!
